Lois (Tate) Nott, 88, of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at her residence. She was born on November 29, 1922, in Cooper County, the daughter of Arthur Louis and Clara Margaret (Schmidt) Holliday, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Fernie ìJimî Tate, who preceded her in death in 1979; she later married Joe Nott, who preceded her in death in 1991. She was a graduate of Bunceton High School and a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Jamestown. She worked at many jobs throughout her life. She ran a restaurant in Prairie Home, worked in home health care, worked for the shoe factory in Boonville, and during World War II worked in St. Louis for McDonnell Douglas as a riveter on warplanes. She enjoyed quilting, and was president of a quilting club in Jamestown. She is survived by one stepson, four step-daughters, five brothers, six sisters, 11 step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one step-son and one step-daughter. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Jamestown. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Boonville. Officiating will be Rev. Janet Deneke. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 5:00 p.m.ñ7:00 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California. Memorials are suggested to either Grace United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society, c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak, California, MO 65018.
