Paul E. Schnieders, 75, of California, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was born March 25, 1935, the son of Ignatius Bernard Schnieders and Mildred Ann (Van Loo) Schnieders, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married March 18, 1970, to Rosa Lee (Bond) Schnieders, who survives of the home. Paul was an Army veteran. He was a baler operator for Von Hoffmann Press in Jefferson City and also enjoyed farming. He was a member of the Family Circle CB Club. He is survived by three sons, Mike Hardin and wife Dana, Scott and Kevin Schnieders, all of California; one daughter, Pam Mertens and husband Kenneth of Wardsville; one brother, Robert Schnieders and wife Janet of New Bloomfield; one sister, Josephine Leach and husband Lawrence of Jefferson City; six grandchildren, Christa Baker, Christina Sees, Chastidy Liebi, Beth Baker, Cody Schnieders and MaKayla Hardin; three great- grandchildren, Madison Leach, Braylen Baker and Gracie Ann Liebi; two step- grandchildren, Brandy Backer and Jennifer Epley; and two step-great-grandchildren, Colby and Keagan Epley. He was preceded in death by one son, Aaron Paul Schnieders in May 1993, and two brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. Burial with military honors will be at the California City Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Scott Spurling. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2010, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.
