James M. Frasher, 92, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, December 6, 2010, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born May 2, 1918, in Camden County, near Linn Creek, to Lewis and Charlotte "Lottie" Parrish Frasher. He was married April 21, 1938, to Frances Sommerer, who preceded him in death on July 8, 1985. On September 27, 1986, he married Evelyn (Dulle) Heckerman, who survives at their home. Jim was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. During the greater part of his life, Jim was a salesman for Mother's Best Flour, Staley Feeds, Professional Feeds, and Supersweet Feeds. In addition, he managed the Purina Feed Store and MFA Exchange. He also was a civilian employee for Missouri National Guard. Along with his wife Evelyn, Jim is also survived by a son, James M. Frasher of Melbourne Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Jane (Bill) Marbaker of Jefferson City; two grandchildren, Erin Marbaker of Columbia, and Andrew Marbaker of Columbia; two step-daughters, Tena (Richard) Smith of Suffield, Conn., and Lauri (Tommy) Sanders of Dothan, Ala.; five step-grandsons, Ryan, Kyle, and Eric Smith, and Clint and Connor Robinson. He was preceded in death by a son, John Frasher. Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Russell Bowder officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
