Ronald G. Rector

Ronald G. Rector, age 86, of Cedar Creek, near Jefferson City, passed away September 15, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. Ronald was born January 31, 1935, in Hermann, Missouri, the son of the late Wilbert Howard Rector and Nina Mae Melton-Rector. Ronald married Beverly McVey on June 23, 1956, in East St. Louis, Illinois who survives. He served in the United States Army. He was a member of the St. Peters Catholic Church in Jefferson City. Ronald owned and operated DID-JA-KRASH Auto Body. Ronald also worked for Riley's Chevrolet, Lloyd Belt Automotive, and McKay Buick as an auto body man. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was also member and secretary of the Full Gospel Business Men's Association. Devoted husband and father, he loved dancing, automobiles and telling stories of his life experiences. He was very creative with multiple "projects" going at all times. Survivors include, his daughters, Theresa Jan Rector-Prenger of Jefferson City, Nina Louise Brown of Taos, Hope Ellen (Michael R.) Mundwiller of Hermann and a daughter-in-law, Jody Rector of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Myia L. Griggs of Wardsville, Luke C. (Molly) Prenger of Jefferson City, Faith Prenger of Wardsville, Angel L. Backers of Jefferson City, Roxanne E. Alden of Jefferson City, Ryan (Rachel) Rector of Nashville, Tenn.; Charlotte R. (Ty) Burgess of Linn and Caleb J. Mundwiller of Columbia, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Murphy of Centertown; three sisters-in-law, Patricia Hernandez of St. Louis, Gloria (Hazim) Khazal of RuiDoso, New Mexico, Marilyn (Deiter) Rodrian of Caseyville, Illinois and Barbara McKee-Rector of Jefferson City. Funeral Services will be held at Robinson Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hartsburg. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald S. Rector, his parents; thee sisters, Bonnie Sue Murray, Peggy Joan (Gene) Eihler, Mary Ann Murphy; and one brother, Robert Eugene Rector In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions are suggested to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Care of the family.
