Jerry A. Bergman, 84, of Russellville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 12, 2021, with his wife and children at his side. He was born on December 14, 1936, in Queen City, Missouri, a son of the late Birney and Helena (Campbell) Bergman. He was united in marriage on June 30, 1977 to Shirley Pace in Russellville. He was a 1954 graduate of Warrenton High School. He was a member of the local 513 Operating Engineers and ran the crane for the Truman Building, State Capital Building and Callaway Nuclear plant to name a few. He collected antique steam engines and was given the nickname "engine nut". He was a member of the Eagles Club in California, Missouri and also a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge. Jerry is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shirley Bergman; son, Mike Bergman (Donna); daughters, Sherry Hirschvogel (Roger), Jerri Lynn (Larry) and Charlene Conductor (Sam); grandchildren, Heather (Matt), Traci, Brett, Jordan, Emily (Gary), Spencer and Rebecca; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his children, Harold Bergman and Trudy Jo Bergman. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Weber-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m with Rev. Ed Merckel officiating. Interment will follow at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens in Jefferson City. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
