Georgialee Roberson Dallas, 100, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Oak Tree Villa Retirement Facility. She was born on November 27, 1920, in Arkansas City, Kansas, a daughter of the late James and Myrtle (Humphries) Roberson. She married Hugh Dallas on July 18,1942, in First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Jefferson City, Missouri. While her husband was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky, she taught school at the base school at Fort Knox. After her husband was released from the Army in 1947, they returned to Jefferson City where Georgialee served as church secretary for 25 years including 10 years at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and 15 years at Community Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Both churches are located in Jefferson City, Missouri. Georgialee was an active member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) since 1947. She served as a deacon, a member of Christian Women's Fellowship and was active in the Olivia Hord Cook Circle, the Ruth Circle and the Lydia Circle. With her husband, Georgialee was also actively involved as a volunteer at the Memorial Hospital/Capital Region Medical Center. She was a lifetime member of the Board of Governors of Capital Regional Medical Center and a Board member of Partners (auxiliary) and served on many committees for the center. She is survived by nieces and nephews: Dr. Penny Coggins of Mustang, Oklahoma; Sharon Smith of Leawood, Kansas; Linda Hurd of California; Dorothy Ann Caspari of St. Louis, Missouri; Mary Louise Wilson of Jefferson City, Missouri; James Dallas, Jefferson City, Missouri; James Hugh Roberson of Denton, Texas; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Hugh G. Dallas; her parents, James W. (Bill) Roberson and Myrtle W. Roberson; her brother, Hugh W. Roberson; and two nieces, Patty Rae Doyle and Janet Clayton. Friends will be received on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at First Christian Church from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be private for the family at Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the First Christian Church Youth Fund.
