Harold W. Muenks, age 90 of Loose Creek, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021, at his residence. Harold was born May 24, 1931, in Loose Creek, a son to the late Bruno and Conradine (Kremer) Muenks. Harold was a 1949 graduate of Immaculate Conception Catholic High School in Loose Creek. On May 5, 1956, he was united in marriage to Jacquilin Ann Oidtman at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. She preceded him in death on March 12, 2013. Harold was a lifelong cattle and turkey farmer. He was also employed at Westinghouse in Jefferson City for 19 years, retiring in 1991. He was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. Harold enjoyed traveling, gardening, woodworking making clocks and walnut furniture, and loved his chocolate labs. He was proud to live on the family farm that has been part of his family since 1850. Harold is survived by: two sons, Andy Muenks and his wife Sue and Tim Muenks and his wife Sandra Caviedes, all of Loose Creek; one daughter, Rachel Collett and her husband Randy of Marion, Kan.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Jean Marie Porting of Loose Creek and Martha Mitchell of Independence; one brother-in-law, Albert Haslag of Loose Creek; family friend, Will Scheier; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and spouse of 57 years, Harold was preceded in death by one brother, Virgil Muenks. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek with Fr. Anthony Rinaldo as Celebrant. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Immaculate Conception Restoration Fund for the Stations of the Cross.
