Gerald McClellan Henry Jr., age 68, passed away late Tuesday night, October 5, 2021. While this was not expected, he had been in very poor health over the last year. He is finally at peace. Gerald Gary was born on June 26, 1953, in Springfield, Mo. Gary was a proud father who loved his children very much. He liked to drink, listen to music, ride his bike, and spend time outdoors. While the majority of his life was spent in Mo., he spent a number of very enjoyable years in Calif. before coming back and eventually landing in Leavenworth, Kan. To Gary, everything was always Good, Cool, and Fine (GCF). He had a creative and artistic side and spent a lot of time making picture collages, ceramics, writing, and finding beauty in nature. He is survived by three sons, Kyle (Jackie), Clay (Sara), and Clark Henry; two siblings, Carol Falder and Larry Henry; ex-wife, Terry Henry-Flowers; and four grandchildren, Jameson, Scarlett, Layla, and Evelyn Henry. Gary was preceded in death by parents, Flora and Gerald Henry; step-father, Joseph Dublinski; one sister, Nancy Betts; and his first-born son, Cole Henry. Funeral Services for Gerald M. Henry Jr. will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2021, at the Reser Funeral Home, 101 Main Street, Warsaw, Missouri. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Interment and Military Rites will follow the funeral at the Family Cemetery in Edwards, Missouri.
