Cletus "Clete" Leonard Haslag, 76, of Loose Creek, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at his residence. He was born on January 9, 1945, in Loose Creek, a son of Herman and Margaret Haslag (Schmitz). Clete was united in marriage on September 3, 1966 to Theresa Anne Eichholz. Clete began his career at U-Sav in Linn where he was a grocery clerk. After the store's closing, he went to work for Gerbes until he retired as manager of the produce, deli, and grocery departments. Clete followed up his retirement working part time at Thriftway. In his spare time, Clete enjoyed raising cattle all his life and cutting wood on his farm. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Loose Creek. Clete enjoyed spending his free time at home with his family, traveling, and his dog Sadie. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Theresa; sister, Theresa Schillers (Gary) of St. Martins; brother, Vince Haslag (Janice) of Loose Creek; children: Gayle Miller (Walt) of Taos, Stacey Bax (Mike) of Wardsville, Keith Haslag (Dawn) of Loose Creek, and Sean Haslag (Lindsey) of Loose Creek; grandkids, Brittany Prenger (Patrick), Trevor Bax (Abi), Shelby Miller, Nigel Miller, Easton Haslag, Kamryn Haslag, and Hudson Haslag; great- grandchildren: Kyson Bax, Hadlee Bax, and Della Prenger. Clete was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Reichel (Jerome), and his grandson, Caden Haslag. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek with prayer service beginning at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at Loose Creek Immaculate Conception with Father Anthony Rinaldo officiating. Interment will follow the service at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or Alzheimer's Association.
