Mrs. Geneva Agnes (Ball) Indermuehle, age 92, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Heisinger Bluffs Nursing Home. Geneva was born on May 25, 1929, in Eagle Rock, Mo., a daughter of Ethel Oman and Edith Pansy Ball. She was married on October 13, 1951, in Springfield, Mo. to Norman Dwight Indermuehle, who preceded her in death in January of 1999. Geneva was a 1947 graduate of Cassville High School. After graduation, she took college courses at both Southwest Missouri State Teacher's College and Draughon's Springfield Business College. Geneva taught early grades at the Munsey school in Eagle Rock Missouri. She then moved to Springfield, Missouri where she did clerical work. During her working career she also did clerical work for Winthrop Rockefeller in Little Rock, Arkansas. In 1958 she and her husband opened Norman Auto Supply where she served as a supporting partner. More than anything Geneva loved being a wife and mother. She spent most of her life as a homemaker caring for and supporting her family. Geneva was a woman of strong faith and a member of First Baptist Church. There she participated in many Bible studies, taught Sunday school, and served as a Deacon. She loved to share the gospel with others. She was also a member of the Women's Ministry Union, the Extension Club, and was a Girl Scout Leader when her girls were scouts. Geneva was a very talented artist, focusing on painting and drawing. She loved gardening and always had a beautiful host of flowers and vegetable garden in her backyard. She enjoyed writing and telling stories. Geneva loved to travel to new places and experience the world, she especially enjoyed returning to her childhood home in southwest Missouri. She enjoyed working on her family history and ancestry. Most of all, Geneva loved and cherished the time that she spent with her family and time spent studying God's word. Survivors include: two daughters, Cindy Sagawa and Cheryl Irwin (husband, Gary); two siblings, Jim Ball (wife, Margie) and Patsy Pettigrew; two grandchildren, Zachary Irwin (wife, Megan) and Katherine Gonder (husband, Andrew); and four great-grandchildren, Rylee, Roslyn, Lexie, and Asher. Geneva was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman; her parents; two siblings, Varl Ball and Eldora Rodgers Rendez; one sister-in-law, Ilene Ball; and three brothers-in-law, Gene Rodgers, Jerry Rendez and George Pettigrew; and son-in-law, Marshall Sagawa. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at First Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Rod Maples officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held privately for the family at Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church, the Parkinson's Foundation, or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
