Francis Sr. Joseph Heet

Francis Joseph Heet Sr., 91, of Holts Summit, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Summit Villa, with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 7, 1929 in Taos, Missouri, a son of the late Ben and Elizabeth (Dirckx) Heet. Frank was united in marriage on May 14, 1948 to Floretta Jean McLeran, who preceded him in death on January 20, 2008. Frank attended school in Taos. He was a proud member of the Local 513 Operating Engineers in Jefferson City. Frank operated heavy equipment in the St. Louis area and also for a time at the Callaway Nuclear Power Plant. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing and barbecuing. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with family. He is survived by his sons: Frank Heet Jr. (Bonita), Roger Heet (Brenda) and Rick Heet (Cheryl); daughter: Debra Curtis; half-sister: Irene Kleithermes; sister-in-law: Lorine Heet (Harold) and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers: Gregory Heet, Harold Heet, Rudy Heet, Bernard Heet and Donald Heet; and sisters: Helen Heet, Irene Cavender and daughter: Sharon Stokes-Heet (Chuck). Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at St. Andrew Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Roberto Ike officiating.
