Kelly Smith Bonikowski

Kelly Smith Bonikowski died unexpectedly at her home in Jefferson City, Mo., on January 3, 2021, at age 43. She was born on March 11, 1977, to Jack E. Smith and Carol A. Smith (deceased) of Parkville, Mo. Kelly graduated from Parkville High School, attended Columbia College in Missouri and graduated from the Police Academy. She had a career in law enforcement, serving in Olathe, Kansas City and Riverside. Kelly was physically beautiful and full of fun. She had a flair for fashion design, home décor and writing. She was in gymnastics as a teenager and was a great baseball player. She is survived by two children who she loved without reservation, Alek Bonikowski and Jillian Bonikowski of the Kansas City area; her father, Jack E. Smith and stepmother, Linda Smith.
