Roger James Holterman
Roger James Holterman, 65, of Freeburg, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. He was born on September 23, 1955, a son of the late Ferdinand "Freddy" and Imogene (Borgmeyer) Holterman. Roger was united in marriage to Debra Wegescheide on September 3, 1988, in Jefferson City. He was a 1973 graduate of Fatima High School. Roger was a lifelong outdoorsman and it was natural for him to immediately begin a career that spanned 48 years in the logging industry. He and his brother, Richard, were the proud owners of Holterman Logging. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Roger especially enjoyed spending time outdoors with his grandkids. Making memories with his family and friends were moments he treasured. Roger will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Roger is survived by his wife of 32 years, Debbie; children, Lucas Holterman and Chrissy Reichel (Travis); siblings, Carol Heckman, Richard Holterman (Sharon), Darlene Holterman-Linnebrink; grandchildren, Nathan Reichel, Brandon Reichel, Gavin Holterman, Sam Reichel, Bennie Holterman and Waylon Holterman. He was preceded in death by his in-laws, Donald Wegescheide and Dee Wegescheide; sister-in-law, Mary Beth Wegescheide; and brother-in-law, Stanley Heckman. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. at Hilke-Millard Funeral Home with Prayer Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Anthony Viviano officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to "Buck Up" Youth Hunt.
