Neva Gene Redel, age 66, of Freeburg, departed this life Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at her residence. Neva was born October 2, 1954, at Owensville, a daughter of Paul Lee and Fern Alene (Jones) Litton. She was united in marriage on January 22, 1977, at Freeburg, to Daniel Lee Redel, and to this union three children were born. During her life, Neva worked at Quaker, Play-Mor Trailers, and Scholastic, as well as being a devoted housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and being "grandma" to her grandkids. Neva always cared for others needing help or maybe just a friend in their time of need. Those left to mourn the passing of Neva include: Her husband, Danny Redel of Freeburg; one daughter, Amy Frank (Allen) of Rich Fountain; one son, Todd Redel (Julie) of Jefferson City; daughter-in-law, Brittany Redel-Bull, Vienna; five grandchildren, Vanessa Frank, Fletcher Frank, Kia Ross, Kaleigh Redel, and Kassidi Redel; her siblings, Carol Rose of Belle, Bernie "Billy" Litton (Mitzi) of Bland, Mark Litton (Terri) of Belle, and Allan Litton of Belle; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sandy Keilty and Rhonda Bax (Dennis), all of Freeburg, and Gary Jones of Belle; and her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, being so proud of each and every one. She was preceded in death by one son, Dustin Martin "Dusty" Redel (9-21-2015); her father, Paul (8-24-1992); her mother, Fern (3-18-2014); her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Martin Henry Redel (12-19-1977) and Dorothy Marie (Herzing) Redel (2-16-1972); two brothers-in-law, Tim Rose and Steve Keilty; one niece, Paula Sue Jones; and her goddaughter, Kelly Newbound (5-17-2006). Visitation for Mrs. Neva Redel will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021, in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 104 Oliver Street, Freeburg, MO 65035, with her funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. in the church with Rev. Bill Debo officiating and her interment in Holy Family Cemetery under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
