Jean Dixon

Jean Dixon, 86, of Holts Summit, Mo., passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, Mo. Jean was born on May 24, 1934, in Licking, Mo. She was the daughter of Carlos Ogden and Clara (Robertson) Ogden, along with her identical twin sister, June and two brothers, Bill and Harry, all of who preceded her in death. Jean was united in marriage on July 12, 1952, to Delmar Dixon of Licking, Mo., who preceded her in death on December 27, 2017. Delmar and Jean moved to Holts Summit in 1961, where they continued to reside until her passing. Jean was no stranger to hard work and held several different jobs throughout her lifetime, including Milo H Waltz True Value, Maytag, a school bus driver for JCPS, Mo. Dept of Revenue, and as an Avon Representative, just to name a few. Jean loved being outside in the sunshine. During the summer months, Delmar and Jean could be found at Camp Bagnell at the Lake of the Ozarks, where they owned a camper for more than 15 years. She loved spending time with friends and family. Jean also enjoyed puzzles, reading, playing games like Rummikub and Sequence, and doing word searches. Jean was a faithful, devoted and respected member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Holts Summit, Mo. Survivors include: her two sons, Bill Dixon of Holts Summit, Mo. and Mike Dixon of Jefferson City, Mo.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; as well as friends and neighbors. A Memorial Service will be held at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Holts Summit, Mo. on Saturday, February, 27, 2021, at 2 p.m. The church will be open starting at 12:30 p.m. for those wishing to pay their respects. The service is weather permitting.
