Cecilia Kempker, 101, of Westphalia, formerly of Wardsville, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2021, at Westphalia Hills Nursing Home. She was born on June 14, 1919, a daughter of the late Peter and Margaret (Massman) Heckman. Cecilia was united in marriage on September 24, 1940, to the love of her life, Raymond Kempker, in Folk, Missouri. Cecilia attended Folk schools. She worked as a dietician assistant at St. Mary's Health Center and was later employed at St. Joseph's Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the Catholic Knights of America, Branch 1181. Cecilia enjoyed dancing, fishing and traveling with Raymond. Most of all, she cherished the times spent with her family. She is survived by her daughters: Marcella Conn of Fulton, Irene Wieberg (Gary) of Taos, Rose Ann Lueckenotte (Marvin) of Wardsville and Mary Jane Veit of Wardsville; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and many other family and friends. Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: David Kempker; sons-in-law: Harlond Conn and John Veit and eight siblings. Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Ignazio C. Medina, Fr. Gregory C. Meystrik and Fr. David J. Veit officiating. Interment will be held in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
