Edmund "Ed" Reinsch, 84, of Loose Creek, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Westphalia Hills Nursing Facility surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 23, 1937, in Koelztown, a son of the late Herman and Christina (Heckman) Reinsch. Ed was united in marriage to Kathryn Angenendt on February 5, 1972, in Loose Creek. Ed left school early to help on the family farm. He retired from International Shoe. Throughout the years he worked in several area grocery stores. Ed enjoyed squirrel hunting, working in the garden, mowing grass for his children and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. The greatest joy in his life was helping his children accomplish their goals and supporting them in all of their events. He was a loving husband, dad and grandpa and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Kathy Reinsch; children, Michelle Reinsch of Springfield, LaDonna Masters (Gayla) of Independence, Andrew Reinsch (Sarah) of Frankenstien, Matthew Reinsch (Amanda) of Holden and Amy Jones (Derrick) of Loose Creek; siblings, Dorothy Huhn of Westphalia, Jerome Reinsch of Wardsville and Norbert Reinsch (Renie) of Cuba; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Ed was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Theodore and Nell Angenendt; brothers-in-law, Clarence Huhn and Paul Cortvrient; sister-in-law, Rosie Reinsch; niece, Diane Kroll; and best friend, Skip Nilges. Family and friends will be received on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Tony Rinaldo officiating. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Restorations of the Stations of the Cross at Immaculate Conception Church in Loose Creek, Central Missouri Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
