Zelma Faye Richardson

Zelma Faye Richardson, 88, formerly of Eldon, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City under the care of Hospice Compassus. She was born November 25, 1932, to Edward and Belva Brown. Faye married Bert Truman Richardson July 9, 1950, in Aurora Springs, and the couple raised two daughters and one son. She enjoyed spending time with and often spoiling her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her dog, Bella. Faye was an active member of Memorial Baptist Church and the Golden Circle Sunday School class in Jefferson City, Missouri. When Faye wasn't with family, she could often be found with her dear friend Carmalee, who has graciously adopted Bella. Faye was preceded in death by her husband Bert; brothers; Harold and Carl Brown; sisters, Arlene Brown and Dorothy McDowell, and her parents. Survivors include her children, Brenda Engelbrecht (Marvin), Debra Setser (John), and Dennis Richardson (Jeanne); grandchildren, Melissa Snellen, Kori Campbell, Justin Setser, Spencer Egusquiza-Richardson, Cassidy Richardson, and Skylar Richardson; great-grandchildren, Rylee Snellen, Val Campbell, Savannah, Marlow and Hendrick Setser, Noah Creed and Truman Bradley-Richardson; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 on Saturday April 17, 2021, at Memorial Baptist Church Jefferson City, Missouri. Services led by Pastor David Newton and nephew Pastor Cliff Baucom will immediately follow. Interment will take place at the Eldon City Cemetery.
