Peggy "Ruth Ann" Carver

Peggy "Ruth Ann" Carver, age 68 years, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Capital Region Medical Center. Ruth Ann was born on December 7, 1951, in Jefferson City, a daughter of James Thomas Jr. and Peggy (Shipman) Carver. She attended Jefferson City Schools and Lincoln University. Ruth Ann worked for the State of Oregon and the Missouri State Board of Accounting for over 17 years. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and was a movie buff but Star Wars was her favorite. Ruth Ann was a regular BINGO player and would also help call games. She was very outgoing and made friends easily but most of all she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Ruth Ann is survived by her mother: Peggy Carver; sons: Scott Carver (Elizabeth) and Michael Carver (Christina), both of Jefferson City; daughter: Athenda Carver (Mike) of Jefferson City; three sisters: Rita Kay Hicks (Juewl) of Eldon, Jacqueline Lynn Ridenhour (Robert) of Eugene and Jill Ann Carver of Jefferson City; five granddaughters: Carma Reed, Samantha Carver, Skyla Carver, Rachel Schieferdecker and Emily Schieferdecker; four grandsons: Jay Carver, Cody Carver (Savannah), Jack Carver and Gabe Schieferdecker. She was preceded in death by her father: James Thomas Carver Jr. and two brothers: James Lee Carver and Gerald Ray Carver. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with funeral services following at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Phillips officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the family of Ruth Ann Carver.
