Melissa Maria Hoerber

Melissa Maria Hoerber, 25, formerly of Fulton, Mo., fell asleep in Christ on October 15, 2020, in Boston, Massachusetts, after an illness. Melissa was born on April 29, 1995, to Robert G. Hoerber Jr. and Janice (Haselhorst) Hoerber. She is survived by her parents and two sisters, Michelle Hoerber of Boston, Mass., and Jennifer Timmerman (Joel) of St. Louis, Mo.; her niece, Hope Melissa Timmerman; and nephew, Emmit Joel Timmerman. Melissa was a Project Engineer for SGH in Boston after graduating from Bradley University where she played Division 1 volleyball and earned her degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structures. She graduated from Fulton High School in 2013, after playing four years on the Varsity volleyball team and still holding many of the school records. She was an integral member of the First Lutheran Church of Boston young adult family, as well as cherished member of the Boston adult volleyball community. Melissa enjoyed mountain tops, waterfalls, sunrises, and competing in outdoor grass volleyball tournaments across New England with her sister Michelle. Funeral services were held in Boston on October 19, with Pastor Ingo Dutzmann and Pastor David Mueller, formerly of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fulton, Mo. Burial was at St. Trinity Cemetery in St. Louis on October 21, with Pastor Chris Heaton officiating.
