Lorene C. Brondel, 82, of Fulton, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020. She was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on May 5, 1938 to the late Henry Pirner and the late Martha (Pendleton) Pirner. On April 27, 1957, Lorene was united to Thomas Brondel. They spent 52 years together before his passing on September 16, 2009. Lorene worked alongside Tom as a seamstress at Tom's Cleaners in Fulton. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church where she was active in Knight of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and St. Peter Ladies Society. Survivors include her children, Charlotte O'Neal of Greenwood, Mo., Denise Graves and husband Mike of Kingdom City, Mitchell Brondel and Wayne Brondel of Fulton, and Kent Brondel of Beaufort, N.C.; son-in-law, Dale Maddox; grandsons, Scott O'Neal (Stacey), Justin O'Neal, Will Maddox (Kristin), Ben Maddox, Travis Graves (Jenny), Jared Graves (Liz), and Holdon Brondel; great-grandchildren, Josh, Carl, and Brent O'Neal, John Maddox, Jase Brondel, Beau and Cheyenne Graves, and Bryson Brondel; brother-in-law, Rich Meller; and sisters-in-law, Agnes Brondel and Alma Boeckman. In addition to her parents and husband, Lorene was preceded in death by son, Carl Brondel; daughter, Janice Maddox; sisters, Margie Meller, and Eleanor Meller; and grandchildren, Kassandra and Dalton Brondel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father Joseph Abah officiating. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. Family requested that all in attendance wear masks. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
