Lynda Sue Bryant, 73, of Jefferson City, Missouri, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at University of Missouri Medical Center. She was born on April 4, 1947 in Versailles, Missouri, a daughter of Eastem and Meta (Finley) Williams. She was united in marriage to Terry Bryant on September 28, 1996, at Glenstone Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri. Lynda attended Eldon High School where she graduated in the class of 1965. Lynda served her country in the United States Navy. She then went on to graduate from Columbia College, with a Bachelors in Business Administration. She spent many years working for the state in the Department of Corrections, where she attained the rank of Deputy Warden, until her retirement. After retirement she worked at St. Mary's as a switchboard operator and in guest services. Lynda was also a member of the United States Deputy Warden Association and an active member in the Union Hill Baptist Church in Holts Summit, Missouri. Lynda was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and sisters. Lynda cherished every opportunity to travel and see new places and enjoyed reading. She had a wonderful sense of humor that would come out at the least expected times. Her laughter and smiles would always make your day so much better and she gave those freely. Lynda was a devoted Christian who was loved and feared by many! She will be sorely missed by her family, church family, and a multitude of friends. She is survived by her daughter: Antonette Shelden (Guy) of Russellville; two step-daughters: Anna Bryant of Port Orchard, Washington and Amanda Bryant of Anchorage, Alaska; two brothers: Jack Williams (Bev) of Iowa and Dayle Williams (Pam) of Jefferson City; three sisters: Wanda Lawson of Eldon, Gaye Harbison (Floyd) of Eldon, and Bonnie Eisterhold (Gerald) of Conyers, Georgia; grandchildren: Chris (Krystal) Shelden of Odessa, LeAnne Shelden of Mt. Vernon, and Colin and Maggie Bryant of Port Orchard, Washington; three great-grandchildren: Isaac, Phoebe, and Gideon Shelden; and a host of nieces and nephews. Lynda was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter: Patricia Ann Musgrove; and her brother-in-law: Donald Lawson. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday, October 12, 2020 at Union Hill Baptist Church with Funeral Services to follow at 12:00 p.m. with Brother Frank Whitney officiating.
