Lillian Elizabeth (Beth) Hannapel Jones Wissmann, 82, of Russellville, Mo., returned to the Lord, Monday, May 18, 2020. She was born January 26, 1938 in Iberia, Mo., an only daughter of the late Art and Anita (Crismon) Hannapel. Beth was a 1956 graduate of Russellville High School. She was married in 1956 to Cecil Jones and had four children. Beth later married Don Wissmann on July 4th of 1983. She worked in various administrative capacities in the state, law (Highway Dept) and associative work. Beth and her late husband, Don Wissmann, owned and operated Wissmann Wrecker Service in Linn, Mo. from 1986 to 2008. She was a member of The Eastern Star. Beth loved Shakespeare, had a way with the written word composing music and hymns. She played the piano and organ beautifully. She started playing the organ in church at the young age of five. She took pride in working in her yard and enjoyed planting flowers to watch them bloom and thrive. Beth always had a camera at hand to take photos of anything going on around her from her beautiful flowers to her grandkids running around. She loved her animals, (King, Hobo, and Duke). Beth, alongside Don, worked on wooden projects for all occasions and loved to see the reaction of whomever she gave them to. Survivors include her children, Craig (Charlie) Jones of Vail, Ariz., Clint (Michelle) Jones of Russellville Mo., Corwin (Amy) Jones of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Kim (Bud) Rhodes of Bland, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren with another on the way. Beth was also known by many "adopted" children as "Mom" as she loved and welcomed many into her home for gatherings and the holidays. Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Don; daughter, Catherine (Kathy) Elizabeth; great-grandson, Cameron Allen; and great-granddaughter, Amelia Rae. Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the shop Beth built for family gatherings near the home of Clint and Michelle, 9216 Rt AA, Russellville, Mo. A small family gravesite service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Enloe Cemetery near Russellville, Mo. Memorial contributions are suggested to Jefferson City Animal Shelter, 2308 Hyde Park Road, Jefferson City, MO 65109 in honor of Beth's love of animals.
