Vanitta "Mickie" Erhardt, 86, of Jefferson City, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on August 24, 1933, in Osage County, a daughter of the late Edwin H. and Otillia V. (Nilges) Schnieders. She was married on April 19, 1952, to Cornelius W. Erhardt at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mickie attended St. George Catholic School in Linn and two years of Linn High School until the family moved to Jefferson City. She was a 1951 graduate of St. Peters (now Helias) High School. Mickie was employed by the Missouri Farm Bureau, the Jefferson City Housing Authority, the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and retired from the Missouri Department of Revenue, Division of Taxation after 15 years of service. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, and volunteered in the gift shop at Heisinger Bluffs. Mickie is survived by her children: Kent Erhardt (Kelley) of St. Charles, Kelly Kirchner (Kevin) of Russellville and Kristie Scheulen of Loose Creek; grandchildren: Timothy Scheulen (Diedre), Matthew Scheulen, Thomas Scheulen (Jill), Kaytlin Smith (Nick), Kayne Kirchner, Mason Erhardt and Clayton Erhardt; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Brook, Cole, Lilly, Luke, Kooper, Mia, Tru, Sky, Tys, Lux, and Nixon as well as many other family and friends including her sister, Mary Bonnot. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son-in-law: Richard Scheulen. Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Faith Lutheran Church followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Eric Gledhill officiating.
