Beverly Suzanne (Haslag) Haaf

Beverly Suzanne (Haslag) Haaf, age 76, of Jefferson City, formerly of Linn, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at Frene Valley in Owensville, surrounded by her loving family. Beverly was born June 29, 1943, in Loose Creek, a daughter to the late Theodore "Ted" Haslag Sr. and Virginia Mae (Connell) Haslag. She was a 1962 graduate of Linn High School. On July 9, 1976, she was united in marriage to John F. Haaf at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City. He survives in their home. Beverly was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City and Fraternal Order of Eagles in Jefferson City. Beverly was a beautiful soul, known for her kindness and her huge heart. She was an avid reader and enjoyed church picnics, cooking, dancing and singing. Beverly liked to vacation in Branson and Tennessee, going to antique stores and garage sales. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her spouse of 43 years, Beverly is survived by: two sons, Michael (June) Wilson of Russellville and John Haaf Jr. of Jefferson City; three daughters, Melanie (Tom) Hopkins of Russellville, Michelle (Keith) Wilson-Rush of Jefferson City, and Kim (Tom) Snodgrass of Wardsville; one brother, Dennis (Martha) Haslag of Linn; one sister, Judy Bentch of Owensville; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: a brother, Ted Haslag Jr.; two sisters, Carolyn Mengwasser and Betty Kelley; two grandsons, Cody Rush and Evan Wilson; a sister-in-law, Nellie Haslag; and three nephews, Alan Atnip, Garrett Atnip and Greg Haslag. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2020, at Morton Chapel in Linn.
