Elanor Elizabeth Spencer

Eleanor Elizabeth Spencer, 78, of New Bloomfield, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020, at her home. She was born in St. Thomas, Missouri on August 10, 1941, the daughter of the late Victor Clarence Meisel and the late Emma (Wieberg) Meisel. On August 1, 1964, Eleanor married Tony Spencer. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2007. Eleanor enjoyed playing lottery tickets and reading. She also liked to watch game shows and cooking shows. Eleanor loved to cook and spend time with her grandchildren and her dog, Winston. Those remaining to cherish her memory include sons, Randy Spencer (Jenny) of Millersburg and Mike Spencer (Megan Fudge McGrath) of New Bloomfield; daughter, Pam Spencer (Scott Vaught) of New Bloomfield; brother, Leroy Meisel (Marie) of Jefferson City; sister, Alice Graham (Bill) of Jefferson City; nine grandchildren, Ryan Weber (Kelli), Tyler Gove, Preston Spencer, Rebekah Neal (Justin), Morgan Spencer, Audrey Spencer, Cole Spencer, Case Spencer, and Ellie Jane Spencer; and three great-grandchildren, Amelia, Gemma, and Maddox Weber. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and an infant son. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
