Emil Leo Luebbert

Emil Leo Luebbert, age 80, of Vienna, departed this life on Thursday, January 9, 2020, in Villa Marie, Jefferson City. He had been in failing health for some time. He was born on January 6, 1940, at Argyle, a son of William Clarence "Bill" and Louisa Mary (Maasen) Luebbert. He was united in marriage on March 11, 1961, at Vienna, to June Louise Crismon, and to this union, three sons were born. Mr. Luebbert was a member of the Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2047, Argyle. He was a forklift operator for American Can Company, St. Louis, for 31 years retiring 1995, as well as being a member of the United Steel Workers, St. Louis. Emil enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, sitting on his front porch, and his favorite was Fred's Crappie fries. Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Luebbert include: His son, Randy Luebbert of Dittmar; his grandchildren, Aaron Luebbert and Aric Luebbert, both of Cabool; his siblings, Willie Borgmeyer and husband Virgil of Osage Bend; Fred Luebbert and wife Eileen of Koeltztown; Elizabeth "Betty" Lederman and husband Arthur of Mansfield, Texas; Arthur Luebbert of Taos; and Catherine "Cathy" Luebbert and husband Jerry of Taos; nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, June, on August 19, 1984; two sons, Russell Lee Luebbert on March 25, 1978, and Ricky Kevin Luebbert on November 9, 2007; his father, Bill, on October 5, 1981; his mother, Louisa, on August 19, 1983; two brothers, Bernard Clarence Luebbert on October 12, 2011, and Joseph Frank "Joe" Luebbert on December 24, 2015; and special friend, Mildred "Millie" Haile on June 15, 2019. Visitation for Mr. Emil L. Luebbert will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., all in the Visitation Catholic Church, 105 North Main Street, Vienna, MO 65582, with the Rev. Matthew Flatley as the Celebrant. Interment will be in the Vienna Public Cemetery under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna. Memorials in memory of Mr. Emil L. Luebbert are suggested by his family to the Visitation Inter-Parish School or per the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the Church or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O.
