Monte Eldon MacLeod, 63, of Mary's Home, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at his home. He was born on September 5, 1957, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, a son of Leo and Margaret (Emery) MacLeod. He was united in marriage to Jacqueline Murray, August 2, 1980, in Arlington, Massachusetts. He entered the Canadian Navy and upon his release from service in 1981, he had attained the rank of Abel Seaman. Monte then attended and graduated from the Peterson School of Steam Engineering. He then pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbus University and upon graduation worked in the HVAC field. He worked for the Munters Corporation for 20 years. He enjoyed building ship models and rebuilding antique cars. He treasured time spent with his family and especially his grandchildren and will be greatly missed. Monte is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jacqueline MacLeod; father, Leo MacLeod of Stratford, PEI, Canada; father-in-law, John Murray; sons, John MacLeod (Kyla), Donald MacLeod (Joelle) and Daniel MacLeod (Jamie); sister, Cynthia MacLeod; grandchildren, Brady and Ivory MacLeod, Hayden and Bailey Linhardt, Kirby Drewel, Alex Wagner, and Henry Flores. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret L. MacLeod and mother-in-law Patricia J. Murray. Family and Friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that expressions of sympathy be made to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
