Agnes "Toots" Marie Keilholz, age 86, of Frankenstein, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at SSM Health St. Mary's in Jefferson City surrounded by her loving family. Agnes was born on November 30, 1933, in Frankenstein, a daughter to the late Louis and Dora (Lock) Maassen. Agnes attended grade school and three years of high school at Frankenstein and she was a 1951 graduate of Fatima High School. On November 17, 1951, she was united in marriage to Frank Joseph Keilholz at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2005. She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein and the Ladies Sodality. Agnes enjoyed playing card games especially Preference, Rummy, Uno, and Skip-Bo, along with watching wrestling and polka on television, spending time outside, cooking, baking, reading, embroidering and word puzzles. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Agnes is survived by: five sons, Doug and Vernon Keilholz of Frankenstein; Jeff Keilholz of Linn, Alvin Keilholz and his wife Celeste of Jefferson City, and Chris Keilholz and his wife Marilyn of Linn; two daughters, Rhonda Bruemmer and her husband Randy of Wardsville, and Becky Wingrath and her husband Scott of Linn; son-in-law, Pete Laughlin of Frankenstein; 12 grandchildren: Olivia, Jacob, and Logan Keilholz, Sandra (Andy) Lehmen, Brian (Kelsea) Laughlin, Kory Keilholz, Jared and Caleb Bruemmer, Lizzie, Layla, Jack, and Blakelyn Wingrath; 10 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and spouse of 53 years, Agnes was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Agnes Keilholz and Debbie Laughlin; three brothers, Vince (Nelda) Maassen, Eddie (LaVerne) Maassen and Elston Maassen; and one sister, Rosie (Glenn "Smitty") Smith. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2020, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Daniel Merz as the Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the wishes of the family.
