Janee Danielle Chanelle Hickman, age 44 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Capital Region Medical Center. Janee was born on December 31, 1975, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Barry and Kimberly (Luadzers) Rapier. She was married on May 5, 2019, in Jefferson City, Mo. to Randy Hickman who survives at home. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Janee graduated from Jefferson City High School and then went on to Nichols Career Center to become a Dental Assistant. She was employed with several local dentist offices in Jefferson City for over 20 years. Janee cherished time with her children, watching movies and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs. She also loved being outdoors, especially water activities: swimming or floating down the Osage River. Janee was cherished by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by her loving family. Survivors include: her husband, Randy Hickman of Jefferson City, Mo.; three children, Justin Rapier, Joshua Wadley and Hannah Wadley, all of Holts Summit, Mo.; her father, Barry Rapier of Jefferson City, Mo.; her mother, Kimberly Mayor of Midland, Texas.; paternal grandmother, Virginia Rapier of Bentonville, Ark.; one brother, David Laudzers; one sister, Stephanie Mayor; one half-brother, Dakota Mayor; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Herbert Rapier; and maternal grandparents, Nelson and Mary Laudzers. A Celebration of Janee's Life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2020, at the Pavilion at Ellis-Porter Riverside Park with Celebrant Gara Loskill officiating. A reception will follow the service at the pavilion to continue to share memories until 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
