Carolyn Sue Summers

Carolyn Sue Summers, 55, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020, at University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics in Columbia. She was born on October 26, 1964, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Carl Wesley and Shirley Mae (Watson) DeBrodie. Carolyn was united in marriage on August 22, 1992, in Jefferson City, to Larry Summers. Carolyn attended Jefferson City Public Schools. She enjoyed fishing and watching soap operas. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially during Sunday dinners. She is survived by her children: Nicolas Clark, Nathan Clark and Wanda Howard; father: Carl DeBrodie; siblings: Terry Watson (Patty), Kathy Smith (Kenny), Larry DeBrodie (Sherrie), Sharon Strope (Rob) and Lisa Summers (John); granddaughter: Amy Howard and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother: Shirley DeBrodie; husband: Larry Summers; daughter: Kimberly Bond; son: Carl DeBrodie; brothers: Robert DeBrodie, Terry DeBrodie, Gary DeBrodie and sister: Wanda DeBrodie. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2020, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Interment will follow in Bull Cemetery.
