Frankie Jane Bennett

Frankie Jane Bennett, 83, of New Bloomfield, Mo., passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Mo. Frankie was born on December 14, 1935, in Waverly, Kan., the daughter of John and Retta (Cardwell) Schmid who preceded her in death. She graduated from Waverly High School in Waverly, Kan. on May 19, 1955. Frankie married Clifford Bennett on August 12, 1956, in Holton, Kan., he preceded her in death on May 13, 2008. She retired from Scholastic Book, Jefferson City, Mo. in 1991. Survivors include: two sons, Clifford Bennett (Brenda) of Holts Summit, Mo. and Marvin Bennett (Alice) of New Bloomfield, Mo.; two daughters, Michelle Phillips (Jeff) of New Bloomfield, Mo. and Retta Phillips (Rick) of Tebbetts, Mo.; one brother, John Schmid (Sandra) of Rayville, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, Brandi Allison, Tessa Sullentrup, Jennie Roberts, Tyler, Jason, Curtis & Brooke Bennett, Jonie Hall, and Evan, Aaron and Jennifer Phillips and 22 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Sam Schmid and one sister, Ona Strawder. Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Dixie Christian Church, 9407 State Rd BB, New Bloomfield, Mo. with Rev Steve Nelson officiating. Entombment will be in Callaway Memorial Garden, Fulton, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
