NEW BLOOMFIELD - Four area golfers made the cut for the Missouri Men's Amateur Championship during an 18-hole qualifier Monday at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club.
Gabe Trowbridge of Jefferson City tied for fifth-place in the 53-player qualifier - one of four across the state that was played Monday - by shooting a 1-over 73. Trowbridge shot three birdies, two bogeys and one double-bogey to go with 12 pars in his round.
Alex Gentry of Jefferson City tied for 10th place with a 3-over 75, recording two birdies, a bogey, two double-bogeys and 13 pars.
Also making the cut was Cole Lehmen of Westphalia, who shot a 4-over 76 in his round, tying for 14th place. Lehmen ended the day with four birdies, five bogeys, one triple-bogey and eight pars.
Finishing on the cut line was the last local qualifier, Archer Schnieders of Jefferson City, who posted a 5-over 77. Schnieders had one birdie, one bogey, one double-bogey and one triple-bogey to go with 14 pars.
Davis Linhardt of Jefferson City missed the cut by one stroke, finishing with a 6-over 78. Linhardt had two birdies to go with nine pars, six bogeys and one double-bogey.
Jefferson City's James Estes posted a 7-over 79, ending his round with 13 pars, three bogeys and two double-bogeys.
Jefferson City's Nicholas Leslie posted a 12-over 84 in the qualifier, carding eight pars, eight bogeys and two double-bogeys.
Brett Hulsey of Sullivan had the low round of the day Monday, shooting a 4-under 68 and playing a bogey-free round.
Only the top-20 finishers from the Meadow Lakes Acres qualifier advanced to the Men's Amateur Championship, which is scheduled for June 22-27 at The Club at Porto Cima in Sunrise Beach.
A total of 125 golfers have advanced to the Men's Amateur through five qualifier events. However, there will be one more opportunity for non-qualifiers to get into the championship in the Last Chance Qualifier scheduled for next Monday at Eagle Knoll Golf Club in Hartsburg.
