Prep Softball: Eugene 8, Tuscumbia 1

EUGENE, Mo. - The Eugene Lady Eagles won their fourth straight game Tuesday, defeating the Tuscumbia Lady Lions 8-1 in Show-Me Conference action.

Ashlynn Kliethermes was the winning pitcher for Eugene, as she allowed one run on three hits and struck out nine and walked none in seven innings.

Sophie Stieferman and Mikayla Luebbering each had two hits for the Lady Eagles. Saylor Haney also drove in two runs.

Addison Rogers struck out three batters in six innings for Tuscumbia, which scored its only run in the top of the seventh.

Eugene (6-6, 1-2 Show-Me) continues conference play Thursday at New Bloomfield.

Tuscumbia (2-10, 0-7 Show-Me), which is finished with conference play, returns to action Friday and Saturday in the Versailles/California Turf War Tournament.
