Helias wins division crown in golf Invitational

SEDALIA - The Helias Lady Crusaders captured small school division team honors Monday at the Sedalia Smith-Cotton Invitational.

Helias totaled a 375 to top the eight-team division Warrensburg was second at 404, while Marshall and Palmyra both finished with 406s.

Sophie Hinds of the Lady Crusaders was the small school division medalist with an 80. Sophie Van Dyne of Helias was second with an 87.

Capital City and Jefferson City competed in the large school division. The Lady Cavaliers finished with a 390 to finish seventh, while the Lady Jays shot a 452 to take eighth.

St. Joseph's Academy took first as a team with 303. Rock Bridge was second at 317, while St. Teresa's Academy was third with a 341.

Camryn Swinfard of Jefferson City finished fifth in the large school division with a 73.
