Prep Volleyball: Helias 3, Hickman 0

COLUMBIA - The Helias Lady Crusaders defeated the Hickman Kewpies 25-17, 25-20, 25-12 on Thursday in a best-of-5 match.

Jordan Benward had 13 service points and eight kills, Annica Luebbering had 10 service points and 14 digs, Claire Bonnot tallied 17 assists, six digs and six service points, Chapel Dobbs had nine kills, and Gracie Bernskoetter added 10 digs.

Helias (2-2) hosts Carthage on Tuesday at Rackers Fieldhouse.

The Helias JV team ran their record to 5-3 with a 25-22, 25-15 win.

Grace Verslues had nine assists and four kills, Tori Schmidt had 10 assists, Beth Luebbert had four kills and 12 digs, and Kendal Saucier led the team with 17 digs.

The Helias freshman team won their match 25-16, 25-2 to improve to 3-1.

Josie Morasch had seven assists, six service points and two kills, Hailey Stock had six assists and six service points, Kambrie Lenox had five kills, and Abby Heckman had four kills.

The freshman team hosts a 12-team tournament Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m.
