Prep Baseball: Eugene 10, Belle 1

BELLE - The Eugene Eagles had four pitchers combine to throw a four-hitter Tuesday in a 10-1 win against the Belle Tigers.

Drew Sommerer pitched the first inning, walking one and striking out one, while Colby Renn, Chris Bradley and Cameron Koetting each threw two innings of relief. Reed struck out four and Bradley added a strikeout.

Eugene led 5-0 through two innings and scored its final five runs in the top of the seventh. The Eagles hit back-to-back home runs in the seventh, as Tyler Renn hit a two-run blast to left field and Colby Renn followed with a solo shot to right.

Koetting finished 4-for-4 with three singles and a triple, while Javan Steinhardt was 3-for-4 with three singles and three RBI. Tyler Renn was 2-for-4, adding a double in the first inning, and Colby Renn had two RBI, adding an RBI groundout in the first.

Eugene (2-0) hosts New Bloomfield today to open Show-Me Conference play.
