Calvary's Hagemeyer wins title at Classic

VIENNA, Mo. - Calvary Lutheran junior Kyle Hagemeyer won the boys cross country race Monday in the Vienna Autumn Classic at Vienna Community Park.

Hagemeyer crossed the finish line in 18:00.20. His teammate, Jaxson Jobe, took second in 18:30.68.

The Lions took second in the boys team standings with 58 points.

Linn swept both team titles, as the boys recorded 42 points and the girls tallied 16 points.

The Wildcats were led by Trenton Burnett, who placed third out of 38 runners in the boys race with a time of 18:48.95.

Vienna's Duncan Wilkinson was fifth in 19:08.43, while Belle's Baylar Smith was sixth in 19:08.71.

Rounding out the top 10 in the boys race were Belle's Corey McDaniel (19:17.43), Jamestown's Carter Monroe (19:35.04), Linn's John Schmidt (19:53.60) and Versailles' Matthew Radefeld (20:03.40).

Other runners for the Linn boys were Bobby Winkelman (12th, 20:19.02), Hank Klouzek (14th, 20:23.52), Bryer Baker (16th, 20:35.12), Gibson Tschappler (17th, 20:46.54) and Rhett Robinson (18th, 20:54.13).

For the Calvary Lutheran boys, Lars Marion was 20th (21:10.52), Sam Schnitzler was 24th (21:52.45), Alex Roettgen was 25th (21:53.76), Gage Pavely was 29th (23:23.91) and BenKuhlmann was 30th (23:24.62).

Versailles was fourth in the boys standings with 85 points. Also running for the Tigers were Nicholas Aeschbacher (22nd, 21:46.38), William Taylor (23rd, 21:48.62), Ryatt Haggerman (26th, 22:50.73), Gage Kincaid (27th, 22:54.31) and Ryley Pryor (34th, 25:44.10).

Vienna took fifth in the boys standings with 98 points. Cooper Auten was 13th in 20:19.30, followed by Jackson Kilmer in 33rd (25:902.66), Kamden George in 35th (27:01.82) and Danniel Casey in 36th (28:49.31).

Chamois' Caleb Keilholz was 19th in the boys race in 21:07.40.

Tipton had four runners in the boys race: Johnathan Matchett (21st, 21:11.09), Ryker Wolf (31st, 23:47.47), Owen Oehrke (32nd, 25:00.07) and Ridge Wolf (37th, 32:38.91).

Calvary Lutheran had two of the top-three finishers in the girls race. Maddie Homfeldt finished second in 21:47.60, while Sonya Brunner took third in 22:41.22.

Cuba's Kaylee Fulliam won the girls race in 21:09.37.

Linn was led by Myra Baker, who placed fourth out of 33 runners in 22:54.46, and Ramsie Tschappler finished sixth in 23:54.84 for the Lady Wildcats.

Other area top-10 finishers in the girls race included Belle's Natalie Gehlert (seventh, 24:20.05) and Tipton's Carsyn Petree (ninth, 24:32.68).

Also running for the Linn girls were Ellie Monnette (11th, 25:44.72), Erika Platt (12th, 25:54.30), Marissa Gehlert (20th, 30:11.25) and Annaliese Bowser (21st, 30:24.61).

Vienna, the other schools to post a team score in the girls race, was second with 43 points. The Lady Eagles were led by Danielle Murphy, who finished 18th with a time of 28:57.17.

Vienna's other finishers were Ava Kloeppel (23rd, 30:46.22), Andrea Novak (25th, 31:05.45), Madeleine Novak (26th, 31:07.07) and Kiera Hollis (30th, 34:52.92).

Also competing for Calvary Lutheran were Sydney Morris (19th, 29:15.95) and Kaleigh Kaiser (22nd, 30:33.38).

Belle's Tajel McDaniel finished 13th in a time of 25:58.59.

Versailles had two runners in the girls race. Alexxis Birdsong placed 17th in 28:54.23, while Alesha Garvey was 27th in 31:12.55.

Tipton's other runner was Holly Parker, who placed 28th in 31:20.63.
