SPRINGFIELD — The Helias Lady Crusaders posted a 3-1 record Saturday to win the Kickapoo JV Tournament.

In pool play, Helias defeated Webb City 25-20, 30-28, 25-13, then lost to Kickapoo 24-26, 19-25, 25-22.

In bracket play, the Lady Crusaders won 25-18, 25-20 against Republic in the semifinals, then beat Nixa 25-19, 25-20 in the championship.

Libby Gaines had a team-high 29 kills in the tournament, followed by Madison Kempker with 18 kills and Adalyn Koelling with 15. Addy Bryant and Avery Saucier posted 40 and 32 assists, respectively.

Izzy Herrbold had a team-best 64 digs, while Maryn Randolph had 36 digs and Gaines had 22. Bryant served eight aces and Claire Manns and Koelling each had five blocks.
