ROLLA — Olivia Wood pitched four scoreless innings and Camryn Sharp had five RBI to give the Capital City Lady Cavaliers a 15-0 run-rule win against Union in the opening round of the Class 4 District 5 Tournament at Rolla Middle School.

Wood gave up a pair of hits and a pair of walks with nine strikeouts. Sharp opened the scoring with a RBI single in a three-run bottom of the first.

Sharp had a bases-clearing double in her next at-bat to start a 10-run second. Emma Stieferman had an RBI single before a two-RBI double by Jaiden Kausler and an RBI single by Maysen Karr. Kennedy Schanuth had an RBI double before Sharp's second hit of the inning, an RBI single, gave Capital City a 13-0 lead after two innings.

Faith Karr lead off the bottom of the fourth with an inside-the-park home run before an error scored Schanuth later in the inning to give the Lady Cavaliers a mercy-rule win.

Top-seeded Capital City (23-7) plays No. 5 seed Marshfield (16-8) in the district semifinals at 10 a.m. today.

Marshfield beat fourth-seeded Camdenton 2-1 in 11 innings Tuesday.
