Prep Track and Field: Jamestown at Glasgow Relays

GLASGOW, Mo. - The Jamestown Lady Eagles finished second and the Eagles placed third Friday in the Glasgow Relays.

The girls posted a team score of 77 points, trailing only Glasgow's 145 points. The boys finished with 87.5 points, trailing Fayette (175) and Glasgow (91) in the 14-team event.

Annabelle Sumner was a double-winner for the Lady Eagles, placing first in the girls 200-meter dash in 28.45 seconds and in the 400-meter dash in 1:02.98.

Sumner also took third in the 100-meter dash in 13.82 seconds and fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 31-7.25, accounting for 31 points for the Jamestown girls.

Carter Monroe was a double-winner for the Eagles, winning the boys 1,600-meter run in 5:26.49 and the 3,200-meter run in 11:50.78.

Also winning for the Jamestown boys was Zachary Hargis in the long jump with a leap of 19-1.25. Hargis added a second-place finish in the 200 with a time of 23.99 seconds.

For the Jamestown girls, Emma Baepler finished second in the long jump with a leap of 14-0.25. Jolene Sorrells also placed second in the javelin with a throw of 97-4.5.

Ginna Meisenheimer rounded out the top-three finishers for the Lady Eagles, placing third in the high jump with a height of 4-5.25.

For the Jamestown boys, Austin Borghardt took third in the 300-meter hurdles in 48.58 seconds and Tristan Jones was third in the triple jump with a distance of 38-4.25.

Jamestown's Shayne Harlan, Cole Higgins, Jones and Hargis placed third in the boys 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:39.15.
