Fatima track teams combine for six event wins at Dan Dobson Invitational

FULTON - The Fatima Comets and Lady Comets captured a combined six event titles Friday at the Dan Dobson Invitational hosted by Fulton High School.

The Lady Comets won three events.

Caleigh Huot was first in the 200-meter dash (28.36), while Corinn Karst was first in the high jump (1.55 meters), The Lady Comets also won the 4x100-meter relay.

Huot was second in the 100-meter dash (12.77), as was Maria Juergensmeyer in the 200-meter dash (29.14). The Lady Comets' 4x800-meter relay team also was second (10:26.18).

Taking third for the Lady Comets were Victoria Nivens in the shot put (8.8 meters), Samantha Bax in the high jump (1.5 meters), Bridgette Veit in the 400-meter dash (1:03.03) and the 4x400-meter relay team (4:28.09).

The Comets also won three events.

Tyler Kloeppel was first in the 800-meter run (2:13.98), Ethan Flores won the 110-meter hurdles (17.90) and Easton Haslag won the javelin (41.38 meters).

The Fatima boys also were second in three events - Michael Kloeppel in the 800 (2:14.94), Flores in the 300-meter hurdles (44.91) and the 4x800-meter relay team (8:58.25). Isaac Falter was third in the javelin (33.86 meters).
