Blair Oaks girls win seven events at Dan Dobson Invitational

FULTON - The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons won seven event titles Friday at the Dan Dobson Invitational hosted by Fulton High School.

Payton Mitchell was a double-winner for the Lady Falcons, taking first in the 100- (16.00) and 300-meter (48.33) hurdles.

Other individual event winners included Emily Sporleder in the 400-meter dash (59.56), Ansley Casey in the 800-meter run (2:28.90) and Samantha Laughlin in the pole vault (2.62 meters).

The Lady Falcons also won the 4x200- (1:54.71) and 4x800-meter (10:22.62) relays. Blair Oaks was second in both the 4x100- (54.84) and 4x400-meter (4:26.06) relays.

Kenley Mitchell was second in the high jump (1.5 meters) for Blair Oaks, while Alayna Roling was third in the javelin (31.1 meters).

On the boys side, Jayden Purdy of Blair Oaks won the pole vault (3.65 meters). Lucas LePage of the Falcons was second in the event (3.53 meters).

Also taking second in individual events for Blair Oaks were Sean Meyer in the high jump (1.7 meters), Alex Tappel in the discus (38.78 meters), Levi Frisbie in the 1,600-meter run (4:51.73) and Jace Rackers in the 110-meter hurdles (20.96). The Falcons' 4x400-meter relay team also took second (3:41.55).

Finishing third for the Falcons were Thomas McCauley in the 1,600-meter run (4:51.91), Ayden Chouinard in the 300-meter hurdles (45.19) and Devonte Sanders in he discus (35.91 meters). The 4x100-meter relay team also was third (46.06).
