Boys Basketball: Jefferson City 70, Glendale 68

LEBANON - For the second straight day, Sterling DeSha and Steven Samuels had big games offensively to lead the Jefferson City Jays to a 70-68 win against Glendale on Friday in the Lebanon Hall of Fame Classic.

The game got off to a fast pace, as Glendale led 27-22 at the end of the first quarter. Jefferson City took a 38-33 advantage into halftime and entered the fourth quarter ahead 56-48.

DeSha scored 26 points, matching his points total from Thursday's defeat against Logan-Rogersville. Samuels scored three more points Friday than he did Thursday, adding 18 points.

Jefferson City (5-11) will face Gateway at 1 p.m. today in the third-place game.
