Boys Basketball: Fatima 69, Waynesville 41

ST. JAMES - The Fatima Comets dominated in the second half Thursday night and rolled to a 69-41 victory against the Waynesville Tigers in the St. James Tournament.

Fatima led 19-11 after one quarter before Waynesville came back to cut its deficit to 30-26 at the half. But the Comets outscored the Tigers 17-6 in the third quarter and 22-9 in the fourth to get the win.

Nathan Brandt led four Fatima players in double figures with 23 points. Cooper Kleffner added 14, while Lee Verslues scored 13 and Leo Peters chipped in with 10.

Fatima (9-4) will face Blair Oaks (11-2) for the tournament title at 8 p.m. today.
