WESTPHALIA - The Fatima Lady Comets scored 13 points in overtime, outlasting the St. James Lady Tigers for a 67-61 win Saturday in the championship game of the Fatima Lady Comet Classic.
St. James had control in the first half, leading 17-7 after one quarter and 26-19 at halftime.
The Lady Tigers maintained a seven-point lead by the end of the third quarter at 43-36. However, Fatima outscored St. James 18-11 in the fourth quarter, tying the score at 54 and forcing overtime.
Lauren Brandt led the Lady Comets with 23 points and Ellie Brune finished with 14 points.
Morgan Luebbering was named tournament MVP for Fatima, while Alli Robertson was named to the all-tournament team.
Fatima (14-3), ranked No. 6 in Class 4, is off until Jan. 28 when it hosts Chamois.
