CALIFORNIA — The California Lady Pintos used a 24-0 run in the first half to cruise to a 69-48 win Wednesday against the Rock Bridge JV team in round robin action of the California Tournament.

California trailed 11-6 midway through the first quarter, then held the Bruins without a point for nearly seven straight minutes. The Lady Pintos led 18-11 at the end of the first quarter and 40-20 at halftime.

California continued to lead 53-35 entering the fourth quarter.

Tristan Porter scored a game-high 21 points for the Lady Pintos. KaLynn Irey added 18 points.

California (6-4) will wrap up the tournament against Marshall at 7 p.m. Friday. A win would give the Lady Pintos the tournament title.
