Girls Basketball: Eugene 40, Chamois 39

EUGENE - The Eugene Lady Eagles improved to 2-0 in Show-Me Conference play Tuesday with a 40-39 overtime victory against the Chamois Lady Pirates.

Eugene led 13-12 after one quarter and 22-18 at halftime. Chamois battled back, cutting the lead to 28-27 after three quarters and tying the score at 38 at the end of regulation.

Eugene outscored Chamois 2-1 in the extra four-minute period.

MaKenna Wuelling had a team-high 19 points for the Lady Pirates and Katie Keilholz finished with 18 points.

Chamois (4-4, 1-2 Show-Me) hosts Calvary Lutheran on Thursday.

Eugene (6-4) hosts Linn on Friday to continue conference play.
