ASHLAND - The Capital City Cavaliers wrapped up pool play in the Southern Boone Classic with Tuesday's 75-45 win against the Marshall Owls.
Capital City doubled up Marshall 24-12 in the first quarter, then pushed the lead to 43-20 by halftime. The Cavaliers ended the third quarter with a 65-29 advantage to trigger a running clock in the fourth.
Mitch Renfrow led the Cavaliers with 24 points and Blake Meredith finished with 17 points.
Capital City (11-9) finishes 1-1 in pool play. The Cavaliers await results from tonight's Battle-Marshall and Boonville-Southern Boone games to determine who and when they will play this weekend.
