Girls Basketball: Southern Boone 52, Blair Oaks 34

BOONVILLE - The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons scored just 11 points in the second half Wednesday, falling to the Southern Boone Lady Eagles 52-34 in the semifinals of the Tri-County Conference Tournament.

Southern Boone led 13-10 after one quarter, then Blair Oaks was able to tie the score at 23 by halftime.

However, the Lady Eagles dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Lady Falcons 18-4 to take a 41-27 lead into the fourth.

Emma Wolken had a game-high 16 points for the Lady Falcons.

Southern Boone was led by Jersee Wren's 15 points. Emilee DeHaas added 10 points.

Blair Oaks (2-2), the No. 3 seed, will play top-seeded Boonville in the third-place game at 7 p.m. Friday. Boonville (1-1) lost 63-41 to Hallsville in Wednesday's other semifinal game.

No. 2 Southern Boone (3-0) plays No. 5 Hallsville (2-0) for the tournament championship at 8:30 p.m. Friday.

In Wednesday's loser's bracket semifinals, No. 4 California defeated No. 8 Versailles 79-20 and No. 6 Eldon topped No. 7 School of the Osage 82-34.
